Los Blancos have disappointed this term but the Portuguese superstar insists it isn't all doom and gloom as they now stand on the brink of reaching the final of the European Cup
Cristiano Ronaldo acknowledges Real Madrid have had a poor season but insists it isn't all bad after his hat-trick helped them book a place in the Champions League semi-finals.
Ronaldo's exploits saw Madrid to a 3-0 win over Wolfsburg on Tuesday as they overturned a two-goal deficit in the second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The Portugal captain and Madrid have both been criticised this season, despite Ronaldo scoring 46 goals in all competitions this term, 16 of those coming in 10 Champions League matches.
But while Ronaldo agrees this season could have gone smoother, he says standing on the brink of reaching the Champions League final can certainly raise a few few smiles.
